Images, text, and your editing work
The editor reads the images and text you choose and processes animations in your browser. Selecting an image does not upload that source image to our servers for editing. Smart Select downloads a processing model and runs it on your device.
Editing drafts, including creative content and settings, can be stored in this browser to restore your work. Drafts are not an account-based backup and are not automatically available on another device. Exported files are saved through your browser to a location you choose.
Account and technical information
If you use Google sign-in, our authentication service processes account identifiers and profile information, such as your email address, name, and profile image, to establish your session and display your account. Session information is stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
When your browser requests pages, assets, or account services, our hosting and infrastructure providers receive connection information such as IP address, browser details, request time, and requested URL. This information supports delivery, security, and troubleshooting.
Website analytics
We use website analytics to understand visits, page navigation, and interactions and improve the website. Analytics runs automatically and may process page addresses, referrers, device and browser information, interaction events, and cookie or similar identifiers. This includes session recordings with page content masked.
We do not intentionally send your source files, account credentials, or text entered in the editor as custom analytics properties.
Browser storage and your choices
We use browser storage for editing drafts, account sessions, and analytics. You can sign out using the account menu and clear this website’s data in your browser settings. Clearing site data may remove drafts, sign you out, and clear analytics identifiers. It does not remove exported files from your device or automatically delete account records held by service providers.
Support and service providers
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to respond and investigate your request. Hosting, authentication, analytics, and email providers process information needed for these purposes. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when necessary to address misuse or protect the service and its users.
Retention and security
Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, handle requests, maintain security, or meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the service involved. Browser drafts remain subject to your browser’s storage settings and cleanup behavior.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no system can guarantee complete security. Avoid adding sensitive information to creative work or support messages unless it is necessary.
Requests and policy changes
Depending on your location and circumstances, you may have rights relating to your personal information. Email support@paperanimation.org to ask about access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your request and explain any information we must retain.
